Mikuba, DRC — The Interdepartmental Football Tournament TFM-KFM 2025, launched on May 1 at Mikuba Field under the leadership of TFM’s top management, has reached its thrilling stage. The knockout stage kicks off with the quarterfinals, setting the stage for high-stakes matchups in this eagerly awaited internal competition. The tournament will culminate on June 26 with a double celebration: the men’s and women’s finals, and an early commemoration of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s 65th Independence Day. After weeks of high-stakes competition, eight men’s teams have emerged from the original pool of fourteen to claim spots in the quarterfinals. Among the top contenders is FC IMARA, one of two squads representing sister company Kisanfu Mining (KFM), which impressed with a commanding performance during the group stage.

Joining FC IMARA in the quarterfinals are seven teams representing various departments across Tenke Fungurume Mining (TFM SA): FC KAPATA (Mines Ops), FC NYOTA (Unarmed Security), FC CHUI (GSC), FC USHINDI (Community Relations), FC MIKUBA (Camp Management), FC WHITE SHARKS (IT & Telecom), and FC KARIBU (Middle Plant). The stage is now set for a thrilling knockout round, with single-elimination matches scheduled to begin soon. The group stage delivered high-stakes matchups and edge-of-your-seat excitement, with several games going down to the wire. Notable clashes included FC RAFIKI vs FC NYOTA in Group B and FC USHINDI vs FC N’CHUI in Group C—both of which kept fans on their toes until the final whistle.
