Who is Fat Tshipeng? Fat Tshipeng is now the carpentry workshop supervisor in the General Logistics Support department of TFM. In 1996, he obtained his certificate with distinction in the Carpentry section at the vocational school of the Cité des Jeunes de Lubumbashi, a technical institute with an extremely rare reputation of the Salesian Congregation of Don Bosco. The seasoned Fat Tshipeng worked for many companies in Lubumbashi before joining TFM in 2006. He is responsible for an experienced staff including 7 women and 10 men, i.e. 17 agents who take care of the design, production and assembly of wooden furniture, possibly custom-made, doors and windows and in general the manufacture and repair of wooden objects, a unique touch that is consumed by all departments. TFM's carpentry workshop is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery that makes it easy for wood operators to trim, drill, mill, bend and polish wood and their products are well consumed by all TFM.

TFM's workshop supplies finished furniture to TFM Lubumbashi, Kolwezi and Fungurume camps, guesthouses and offices, including 10K, 11K, 15K, 30K, base camp, Mikuba camp and Nseke offices, and ensures the maintenance and upkeep of furniture, doors, locks and key reproduction. The 7 women who work in this workshop have benefited from on-the-job training from their supervisors to be in tune with the whole team and produce quality work as requested by TFM management.
