Several political and administrative personalities took part in the ceremony, giving it a special stamp. The Director of the National Malaria Control Programme, provincial deputies from the region, the Lubudi Territory Administrator, line ministries and local authorities. After the series of speeches by the authorities, the representatives of various beneficiary entities received the products of the specifications from the hands of the Chairman of TFM, Wang Quan. 2nd generation insecticide-treated mosquito nets, school kits given in partnership with UNICEF as part of the Back to school project, etc. Just after that, the asphalting work of 2.3 km of the Fungurume road was launched. The starting point was the Kakanda road. This will cover a layer of asphalt in two layers. "With improved roads, the knock-on effect is certain: better transport, better access to services. In addition, trade is strengthened, thus improving the quality of life of the inhabitants," the PCA stressed. Other works on the list were the Nguba market, the Kakule bridge in Fungurume, the two tractor sheds in Nguba and Kando, the renovation of the roof of the New Mitumba car park, 4.8 km of agricultural service road developed by the high labour intensive method linking the village of Lukotola to Mwanga Kakunta as well as the 16 domestic water wells with manual pumps in 16 villages of the concession. At the same time, the industrial drilling site of a 207-metre-deep well, connected to a 200 m3 water tower, was also visited. The water tower will be connected to the existing distribution system, so as to ensure a loop distribution. "These projects are much more than just constructions. The Nguba market, for example, will provide local traders with an airy and functional space for their activities, while tractor sheds will contribute to the efficiency of agriculture, one of the economic pillars of the region. Industrial drilling, for its part, will ensure better access to drinking water, a crucial need for the health and well-being of families," reassured TFM's PCA.

It should be recalled that these projects are in addition to others already delivered and relating to various sectors of community life, with positive spin-offs. The drinking water supply project, for example, has contributed to the reduction of waterborne diseases, while the distribution of mosquito nets, in support of other public health programmes, has contributed to a significant reduction in the prevalence of malaria in local communities. The projects awarded cover sectors such as health, education, agriculture and infrastructure. And "We are convinced that all these projects will contribute significantly to the sustainable development of our region," the PCA recalled in its conclusion.
